Former Trump Campaign Manager Says He Didn't Hire Cambridge Analytica

Corey Lewandowski says he turned down data firm Cambridge Analytica three times while he was managing Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.

Lewandowski — the first of Trump's three campaign managers — told NBC's Chuck Todd the data firm wasn't part of the campaign until after he left.

Earlier in March, Facebook suspended Cambridge Analytica following reports it had improperly gathered data on more than 50 million users, mostly without their explicit consent.

The data firm's work with the campaign was first reported around June 2016. That's around the same time Lewandowski was fired from the Trump campaign.
