FBI Director Christopher Wray says the White House shouldn't release a controversial Republican memo that alleges the FBI and Justice Department abused their surveillance authority.
That's because Wray believes the memo contains inaccurate information, someone familiar with the situation told Bloomberg.
Here's the chain of events so far. On Monday, the House Intelligence Committee voted to release the memo and sent it to President Donald Trump for further review.
Tuesday night after his State of the Union address, Trump was caught on camera saying he wants the memo to go public.
On Wednesday, Trump's chief of staff John Kelly told Fox News Radio that the White House plans to release the memo "pretty quick."
There's still no word on when the memo will actually be released.
