It doesn't look like former national security adviser Michael Flynn will be sentenced in the near future.
Flynn appeared in federal court Tuesday, but the prosecuting and defense attorneys said they're not ready to schedule his sentencing.
As part of his plea deal for lying to investigators, Flynn is cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. He won't be sentenced until Mueller's office is done with him, so the sentencing delay indicates Flynn is still providing investigators with information.
Attorneys now have an Aug. 24 deadline to give the judge their next status report.
