President Donald Trump's homeland security adviser Tom Bossert is stepping down.
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed Bossert's resignation Tuesday, saying, "The President is grateful for Tom's commitment to the safety and security of our great country."
The news comes a day after John Bolton took over as Trump's national security adviser.
As The Washington Post notes, Bossert was "believed to be on shaky footing" with Bolton.
As of Tuesday morning, Bossert himself had yet to comment on his resignation.
