The U.S. Embassy in London is advising Americans in the area to "keep a low profile" during President Donald Trump's first official visit to the U.K. this week.
The embassy said in an alert issued Tuesday that multiple protests have been planned surrounding Trump's visit, and warn the demonstrations could become violent.
According to multiple outlets, tens of thousands of people are expected to demonstrate. One group says it will protest Trump's "politics of racism, war, sexism and hate."
Ahead of his visit, Trump said he expects to see the U.K. in "turmoil."
"But the U.K. certainly has a lot of things going on," Trump said Tuesday.
Trump is expected to land in London on Thursday where he will spend the next couple of days meeting with Prime Minister Theresa May and Queen Elizabeth II before traveling to Scotland.
