Alex is a national political correspondent based in New York City. Over the course of her career, she has covered a wide range of events, including both impeachment inquiries for President-Elect Donald Trump, the January 6th Capitol insurrection and Trump's indictments in New York City. She also broke the story of antisemitism complaints within the U.S. State Department and traveled to Ukraine to report on the political implications of Trump’s impeachment as well as escalating threats from Russia. Her reporting has earned her recognition from the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism.

Alex has had a passion for journalism since the age of four. She earned her degree from the University of Maryland and launched her career at Fox 46 in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition to her work as a national political correspondent for Scripps News, Alex serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland, where she shares her expertise with aspiring journalists.
