Following the United States' lead, it appears more countries may try to move their embassies to Jerusalem.

Israel's deputy foreign minister said on Monday the government has talked to "at least 10 countries" about potentially moving their embassies.

Trump announced in early December that the U.S. would move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv and "officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel."

An overwhelming majority of the United Nations General Assembly condemned the president's decision. It sparked protests in several major cities across the globe and criticism from a number of U.S. allies.

Israel's deputy foreign minister didn't say which countries her government had spoken to, but she said some are in Europe.
