Ben Schamisso is a tenacious reporter with 10+ years of experience from TV networks. As a national correspondent and producer for Scripps News since 2016, Ben has traveled the country reporting on breaking news, immigration, global affairs, politics and culture.
Prior to joining Scripps News, he was the lead videographer and video editor for Belgium’s most prestigious soccer team and a producer for the Chicago Tribune. He earned his master’s degree at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism in 2012.
Born and raised in Belgium and fluent in three languages, Ben brings a unique and compassionate perspective to his storytelling.
