Three powerhouse CEOs have hired someone to lead their new kind of health care company.

Before we tell you who, let's back up a bit: In January, Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett, J.P. Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said they were partnering to create a company to address rising health care costs.

The company's still unnamed and doesn't have a clear plan yet. But, we do know it'll be based in Boston, which CNBC reports is a "hub for biotechnology and medical research."

On Wednesday, the CEO trio announced they hired Dr. Atul Gawande to head the new company. Gawande currently practices general and endocrine surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital and teaches at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Harvard Medical School. He also writes for The New Yorker.

He reportedly sent a note to his colleagues saying he wasn't going to leave his positions while leading the joint health care venture.

Gawande will start July 9, even though we aren't too sure exactly what this new company will be doing.
