Trader Joe's Recalls Raw Cashews In 30 States Over Salmonella Concerns

The affected products are bags of raw cashew pieces bearing the code "BEST BEFORE 07.17.2016TF4."

Trader Joe's is recalling scores of raw cashews over concerns they might be infected with salmonella. 

The company issued the recall on Sunday, saying "one specific lot ... may be contaminated." 

The Trader Joe's Raw Cashew Pieces bags being recalled contain a best before July 17, 2016 code on them that reads, "BEST BEFORE 07.17.2016TF4."

The products were sold in 30 states and in Washington, D.C. The full list: Connecticut; Delaware; Georgia; Idaho; Illinois; Indiana; Iowa; Kansas; Kentucky; Maine; Maryland; Massachusetts; Michigan; Minnesota; Missouri; Nebraska; New Hampshire; New Jersey; New York; North Carolina; Ohio; Oregon; Pennsylvania; Rhode Island; South Carolina; Tennessee; Vermont; Virginia; Washington; Washington, D.C.; and Wisconsin.

So far, no illnesses have been reported. The store is asking everyone to throw out the product or return it to a store for a full refund.
