United Airlines has settled with the man who was dragged off a flight earlier this month.
David Dao, who was left with a broken nose and two missing teeth after the incident, initially planned to sue the airline.
The exact amount of the settlement is confidential. But Dao's legal team noted the airline took full responsibility for the incident.
News of the settlement broke the same day United announced a slew of new policies to improve customer service — including offering passengers up to $10,000 to voluntarily leave an overbooked flight.
Dao's lawyer said in a statement that "For this acceptance of corporate accountability, United is to be applauded."
