Uber Health lets health care providers call an Uber for patients who can't make it to appointments.

It seems like there's an Uber for everything, and the company just announced another new program: Uber Health. It launched Thursday and lets health care providers order an Uber for patients, at no cost to the patient.

The Community Transportation Association says about 3.6 million Americans "miss or delay medical care because of transportation issues." A missed appointment could mean a cancellation fee.

And patients who don't have smartphones can get a ride with Uber Health because notifications are sent by text message or phone call.

The company says more than 100 health care providers use the service, including hospitals, clinics and rehab centers.
