The cat’s out the bag. “Scandal” star Kerry Washington is the mother of a brand new gladiator and beautiful baby girl.

TMZ had some interesting analogies on how they kept the secret.
“You saw the hospital seen on ‘Scandal,’ people run interference, no one knows she's there. It's like in and out real quick.” (Via TMZ)
Folks have been pretty excited about baby Isabelle. TMZ even obtained a copy of her birth certificate.
This isn’t the first time Kerry surprised the world with big news. Washington and Asomugha got married in Idaho on June 24 of last year, but fans didn’t find out until July. ( Via Extra)
And although Us Weeklybroke the news of Washington’s pregnancy in October of last year, Washington didn’t officially confirm until the 2014 Golden Globe Awards.
She told reporters then, "I feel like I have the best date of the night.”
Since her pregnancy announcement, Washington has been a baby-bump fashionista. She even showed off her lovely tummy at the SAG awards on the red carpet. (Via E!)
On February 23, “Scandal” creator Shonda Rhimes hosted a star studded baby shower for Washington in her L.A. home with guests such as Jane Fonda, Cicely Tyson and Diahann Carroll giving her well wishes. (Via Madame Noire)
