Johnny Depp's $26M South France Village Is For Sale

Johnny Depp's estate in southern France is now on the market, though calling it an "estate" is incorrect. It's a village.

Apparently it takes a small village to house Johnny Depp.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star has put his sprawling French estate on the market, according to Sotheby's International Realty.

But this isn't your typical celebrity estate; it used to be an entire village.

Depp purchased the 12-building property just outside of St.-Tropez in the south of France in 2001 with his former partner, Vanessa Paradis.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the star invested about $10 million in renovations on the 37-acre piece of land. The buildings had been vacant for some time and were reportedly built in the early 1800s.

So, no shortage of space. He converted each building into what would normally make up one room in a house.

The village church was remodeled into a guest house, the restaurant was converted into a kitchen and dining room, and two other buildings were turned into a laundry room and garage.

This is one instance when walking from one room to the next in your home can actually be considered a workout.

There are even two pools, one of which is surrounded by a sandy beach bar.

The Wall Street Journal says the house is on sale for $26 million, though Sotheby's will only release the selling price on request.

If you decide to spend a cool few million on the home, which was decorated by Depp, the asking price also includes all the furniture and some of his personal belongings.
