At least five women have accused comedian Louis C.K. of sexual misconduct.

A report in The New York Times contains stories from four named and one anonymous woman, who each claim the comedian masturbated in their presence, or tried to, against their will. The accusations date back to the late '90s.

Rumors about Louis C.K.'s alleged misconduct have been circulating since 2012, but the accusers hadn't come forward until now.

The accusations come after a series ofsimilar allegations against other powerful Hollywood figures. A screening of the comedy star's latest film, "I Love You, Daddy," was abruptly canceled shortly before the Times published its story.
