During Emma Stone's appearance on the "Late Show" Monday night, the actress and host David Letterman just couldn't stop taking selfies.

"Well, you said lets take another one," said David Letterman on the "Late Show."

"I just think that we should take as many selfies as possible," said Emma Stone.

"Oh God that first one, I see that first thing," said Letterman.

"Why why are you doing it like... here let’s do it like this," said Stone.

"Hi," said Letterman.

After Letterman's phone unexpectedly went off during their interview, Stone suggested that they take a selfie, which led to a long conversation about them and several selfie attempts.

A writer for Uproxx pointed out it’s spontaneous things like this that make people love Emma Stone so much.

And fans on Twitter seemed to agree, with many saying they loved the bit and that they'll miss these funny segments when Letterman retires from the show May 20.

But not everyone found the selfie marathon to be so cute.

A writer with Lightly Buzzed said the exchange came off as a little creepy. "This is all about finding an excuse to put his hands on her. That’s all it is… He just wants to get his nose really close to her hair so he can smell it." Um, okay.

But in case you were wondering how those selfies came out, here they are. Future professional photographers in the making? Probably not.
