Aww, there's nothing quite like an impromptu song and dance on a late night talk show.
"I've had the time of my life," host James Corden sang.
"We saw the writing on the wall as we felt this magical fantasy," guest Idina Menzel sang.
Yep, Idina Menzel and host James Corden totally brought our "Dirty Dancing" dreams to life on "The Late Late Show" Thursday night.
And with them both being seasoned singers, it's never a bad thing to hear either sing.
Long before "Frozen," Menzel was singing on Broadway as Elphaba in the original production of "Wicked." She ended up winning a Tony for her performance.
And Corden recently played the part of the Baker in the movie-musical "Into the Woods."
The Huffington Post did point out one thing about the performance, saying, "Sadly, Idina and James's performance didn't include the signature 'Dirty Dancing' lift, but it was still a decent effort all the same."
While the singing and dancing were great, the most hilarious part of the performance came from the other "Late Late Show" guest, Kumail Nanjiani, who clearly had no idea what was going on, but had to stay on stage anyway.
Overall, Menzel and Corden put on a solid performance and we'd love to see more musical numbers in the future. Just, you know — include everyone next time.
