The fate of the galaxy is now in the hands of the two writers behind "Game of Thrones."

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have signed on to write and produce a new series of "Star Wars" films. And like everything Lucasfilm makes, many details are under wraps.

But we DO know the movies aren't part of the Skywalker saga. They also won't be connected to the recently announced trilogy that director and writer of "The Last Jedi" Rian Johnson will spearhead.

Despite being the masterminds behind "Game of Thrones," which has won 38 Emmys and broken several ratings records, Benioff and Weiss say they're nervous for the responsibility.

Still, they said they'll start working as soon as the final season of "Game of Thrones" is done. No word yet on release dates for the new films.
