You Can't Bring Huge Bags Into Cinemark Theaters Anymore

The movie chain says it's trying to make theaters safer for guests and employees.

One of the largest cinema chains in the U.S. is banning large bags from its movie theaters.

Cinemark Theaters says bags larger than 12 by 12 by 6 inches now have to be left behind. The chain says it's trying make theaters safer for guests and employees. 

Exceptions to the rule include medical bags and diaper bags. Cinemark notes it still reserves the right to check all bags before people enter a theater.

According to its website, Cinemark has locations in 41 states across the nation.
