Playboy's First Non-Nude Edition: Snapchat And Instagram Models

It's a new era for Playboy — an era without nudity.

And in that pitch to millennials, Playboy is featuring Instagram model Sarah McDaniel on the cover of its newly designed issue. She's posing as if she's taking a Snapchat selfie.

And the playful Snapchat text is no mistake, either. The 4-year-old app is used by as many as 36 percent of Americans between the age of 19 and 29, and it's continuing to grow rapidly. 

The New York Times got an advance copy of the redesign. The outlet reports there are still naked women in the new edition, but they've been "shot in ways intended for strategic concealment." 

The revamp reportedly also features grainy, unretouched photos, so say goodbye to overly airbrushed models. It makes the images "feel more impromptu than posed," The New York Times said. 

Playboy is on the verge of a widescale reboot lately. The company redesigned its website in 2014 to exclude nudity, and the move triggered a 400-percent bump in website traffic, according to the company.
