More good news for Christina Aguilera — just a week after she announced her engagement, the popular singer and actress also announced she's pregnant with her second child.
The news comes just one week after Aguilera posted this picture of her engagement ring to Twitter on Valentine's day. She met her fiance Matt Rutler on the set of the 2010 film Burlesque.
Aguilera's future mother-in-law Kathleen Rutler revealed the news in a brief conversation with In Touch. When asked if the singer was planning to move anytime soon, Rutler spilled the beans: "I don't know what their plans are. ... But when you have a baby, you’re not planning on moving anywhere anytime soon!"
An anonymous source soon confirmed the story to Us Weekly. The magazine notes Aguilera is taking another year off from season six of The Voice, presumably because of her pregnancy.
The news confirms weeks of rumors about Aguilera's pregnancy. OK! Magazine's Feb. 17 issue speculated Aguilera might be pregnant, after a source told the outlet the singer has wanted another child for two years.
Aguilera gave birth to her first child, Max Bratman, in 2008. She divorced Max's father, Jordan Bratman, in 2011.
