Rogan, Franco 'Bound 2' Spoof Was Only A Matter Of Time

Kanye West’s video for “Bound 2” — you know, the one with the topless motorcycle ride, beer commercial mountains and b-roll from Flicka — got a reboot courtesy of Seth Rogen and James Franco.

It's so bromantic. Filmed on the set of their upcoming movie “The Interview,” the two actors found some downtime to create a frame-by-frame spoof of Kanye West’s Bound 2. (Via YouTube / Sherley Mondragon)

And when we say frame-by-frame, we mean frame-by-every-half-naked-neck-kissing-simulated-motorcycle-sex-frame. (Via YouTube / Conscious)

"The result is 'Bound 3,'" writes Pitchfork. "Why yes, I will proofread your thinkpiece about James Franco and Seth Rogen French-kissing and James Franco lip-syncing the n-word for lulz. I charge by the hour."

This parody took the internet by storm, nearly one week after the Kardashian-centric video premiered during West’s appearance on Ellen. (Via The Ellen Degeneres Show)

And it took a few days for the media to wrap their heads around it, eventually settling on cheesy, made in iMovie, and an accidental self parody because it was, to put it kindly, a bit off brand for the rapper. (Via Salon, Jezebel, The Wire)

I mean, Kanye went from:

I mean, Kanye went from this, this, this, this — heck, even this — to this: awkward PDA during a motorcycling adventure through National Geographic-like footage of the Grand Canyon without helmets. We think it's a metaphor… who knows. (Via Roc-A-Fella Records / Kanye West)

So really, it was only a matter of time before someone made fun of Kimye’s sappy, awkward green-screen adventure, and many are surprised it took so long. I mean, look at “Wrecking Ball.”

Almost immediately after it hit the web, people were parodying the eyebrow-raising video: nakedly swinging on construction equipment in the UK, gently barreling kittens into fake walls on Vine, and letting construction workers react to her lack of safety regulations. (Via Sony Music Entertainment / Miley CyrusBBCVine / Hayden HoeyCollege Humor)

People even gave Nicolas Cage a chance to get in on the fun. ...There are some things you just can’t un-see. (Via YouTube)

It was parodied so much that a Michigan university had to remove their landmark pendulum for safety reasons after students started imitating Miley on it. Students protested the decision... by singing the hit song, of course. (Via TIME)

So far there has been no word from Kanye and Kim about the spoof video, but as far as a "Bound 2" parody goes, we just have to bow in the presence of greatness and wait for more.
