Meghan Markle Indicates One Cause She Wants To Focus On As A Royal

The soon-to-be member of the British royal family talked about women's empowerment at The Royal Foundation Forum on Wednesday.

Meghan Markle indicated she plans to continue using her status to shine a light on women's voices after she marries Prince Harry in May.

"You'll often hear people say, 'Well, you're helping people find their voices.' I fundamentally disagree with that because women don't need to find a voice. They have a voice; they need to feel empowered to use it, and people need to be encouraged to listen," Markle said.

She was speaking at The Royal Foundation Forum on Wednesday alongside her fiancé and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince William and Prince Harry launched The Royal Foundation in 2011 as a way to help them pursue their charitable goals. Through it, the royals have created projects like the Invictus Games and the Heads Together campaign.

Similar to Kate Middleton, Markle will officially become a patron of the foundation after her wedding.
