Sometimes, when you're feeling down, all you need is a good hug. And apparently, that also applies to puppies.
This is Meesha, a baby pit bull mix who was spayed Wednesday at the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter.
She was understandably a little scared when she first starting coming off the anesthesia. So surgical assistant Dennis Moses took her out into the hallway to comfort her.
"I know, I know. It's just the drugs talking," Moses cooed as Meesha cried.
A spokesperson for the shelter said Moses held Meesha, gave her kisses and even sang to her.
And it looks like she's feeling better now. The shelter posted this photo of Meesha cuddling with her new adoptive family Sunday.
