Boeing Experiences Drop In 737 MAX Deliveries

More orders for Boeing's troubled 737 MAX jets canceled amid pandemic.

Boeing customers canceled 150 deliveries of its 737 MAX planes last month amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Boeing says 39 jet orders were canceled by Brazilian airline GOL. That came after Irish jet leasing company Avolon canceled 75 of the planes.

The troubled 737 MAX planes had already been grounded worldwide for more than a year after software malfunctions were linked to two separate crashes that killed 346 people.

The airline industry has been one of the hardest-hit businesses amid the pandemic, with air travel down an estimated 96%.

The dip in the industry has already caused Boeing to suspend its assembly of commercial aircrafts.
