The FDA sent an official warning to right-wing radio host Alex Jones on Thursday for trying to sell unproven coronavirus remedies.

New York's attorney general ordered Jones to stop advertising the products three weeks ago. He didn't stop. Now the FDA says he could face legal action and product seizures.

The FDA reviewed his websites and determined the coronavirus cures are unapproved and misbranded, violating federal law. The products have small particles of silver, which Jones claims kills all viruses. The FDA says there is no evidence it does.

By Friday afternoon, the products had been taken off Jones' websites. He's required to contact the FDA within 2 days of receiving the letter to detail how he plans to rebrand the products accurately.
