Jacob is a Reporter-Producer with Scripps News covering the White House and 2024 campaigns. He’s covered Washington politics and policy for close to a decade, including working with NBC News’ White House team and most recently as Washington Correspondent for the regional nonprofit outlet The Wyoming Truth.
A San Diego, California, native, Gardenswartz has received numerous local and national honors for his journalism, among them the National Press Club’s 2023 Excellence in Political Journalism award and several commendations by the Society of Professional Journalists.
