Kadia is a national news correspondent for Scripps News. Based in New York City, her reporting primarily includes the impact of information manipulation on everyday people and uncovering disinformation networks on social media.

Before joining Scripps News, Kadia was the managing editor for diversity, equity and inclusion for Business Insider's global newsroom and senior news editor guiding the company’s weekend breaking news and enterprise coverage. Prior to that, she worked as a national politics reporter at Yahoo News, covering breaking news, voting rights and immigration. Kadia was also a 2018 Reuters journalist-fellow at the University of Oxford, where she researched user-generated content and social media in global newsrooms.

When Kadia isn’t reporting for Scripps News, she is an adjunct professor at Columbia Journalism School and Hunter College, where she teaches ethics and news literacy. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Babson College and a master’s from Columbia Journalism School, with a focus on narrative storytelling and journalism ethics.
