Raw cookie dough may be delicious, but it can also be dangerous.

Just in time for the holidays, the CDC has issued a reminder to just say "no" to eating raw cookie dough, cake or pancake batter, and even bread, biscuit and pizza dough.

That's because it may contain bacteria that can cause disease such as salmonella poisoning and E. coli infection.

The agency says uncooked flour can contain E. coli, and raw or undercooked eggs can contain salmonella.

The CDC also warns that kids shouldn't play with raw dough, such as homemade Play-Doh.
