Matt is a videographer based in Denver, Colorado. He shoots and edits videos for on-air daily news stories, investigative reports, and live shots. Some of his primary beats include the economy, investigations, and breaking news.
Matt originally intended to enter the film industry; however, after graduating from Creighton University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, Matt fell in love with news when he started working as a weekend tape editor and photojournalist for KMTV in Omaha, Nebraska.
Matt joined Scripps News in 2013 as a national investigative photographer. He has worked for Scripps in roles in Phoenix at ABC 15 to the Scripps Washington Bureau to Newsy (now known as Scripps News). In 2014, Matt was the photojournalist on the Scripps Washington Bureau team that won a Peabody Award.
