In his role, Nathaniel covers federal legislation, policy, Congressional leadership, and high-profile congressional races across the country. He provides in-depth reporting on the workings of Congress and its impact on national affairs.
Before joining Scripps News, Nathaniel covered the 2020 New Hampshire Primary as a general assignment reporter for NBC5 News (WPTZ-TV) in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He also served as a graphics producer for Andrea Mitchell Reports on MSNBC, where he supported the show’s coverage of political events.
A lifelong passion for journalism led Nathaniel to his first journalism experience, as an intern for Bloomberg Television immediately after he graduated high school in New York City. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Middlebury College in Vermont, where he majored in Political Science and Film/Media Culture. While at Middlebury, Nathaniel also served as an editor of The Middlebury Campus newspaper, and hosted a radio news program for the college's student-run station, WRMC 91.1 FM, in Addison County, Vermont.
