Patrick is an investigative reporter and editor based in Washington, D.C. With a focus on in-depth reporting, Patrick digs into topics and stories beyond the headlines to expose systemic and underlying issues causing problems in the lives of everyday Americans.

Patrick’s journalism career began at a young age when he started his own neighborhood newspaper in first grade. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia and, before joining Scripps, covered Washington, D.C. for Cox Media Group. Notably, his investigative reporting on former Congressman Paul Broun’s office spending led to the indictment and federal conviction of the congressman’s chief of staff.
