Canada sanctioned 17 Saudi nationals who are believed to be connected to the killing of Jamal Khashoggi.
The sanctions will ban them from entering Canada and freeze any assets they may have in the country.
The U.S., France and Germany have also imposed targeted sanctions on Saudi nationals linked to the journalist's death. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was not among those sanctioned.
