What Joe And Jill Biden's New Foundation Hopes To Accomplish

The Bidens are continuing a lot of the work they did during their time in the White House.

Former Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill Biden, launched their charitable foundation Wednesday.

"We can change the culture. And as long as we have a breath in us, we're gonna be working on it," Joe Biden said.

The Biden Foundation will let the couple continue a lot of the work they did during their eight years in the White House.

That includes Joe Biden's cancer moonshot effort. Their son, Beau Biden, died from cancer in 2015, and since then, his father has made it his mission to find a cure.

Also on the foundation's large agenda is preventing sexual assault on college campuses, making higher education more affordable and shaping foreign policy.

Joe Biden wrote the Violence Against Women Act that became law in 1994. And while Jill Biden's husband was in office, she campaigned to make community college free.
