Another federal appeals court has ruled against the latest version of President Donald Trump's travel ban.

The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals in Virginia said Thursday the ban is unconstitutional because it discriminates on the basis of religion.

The court said it looked at statements from Trump and other administration officials as well as the ban itself. And it determined that the proclamation is "tainted with animus toward Islam."

This is the second time an appeals court has ruled against Trump's most recent travel ban. The U.S. Supreme Court voted last year to let the ban take effect while appeals made their way through the courts. The justices have agreed to hear the case this term.
