Trump Says He's Pulling The US Out Of The Iran Nuclear Deal

President Donald Trump has decided to pull the U.S. out of the Iran nuclear deal.

Trump made the announcement Tuesday, which was widely expected.

France, the U.K., Germany, Russia, China, the U.S. and Iran signed the deal in 2015. It puts restrictions on Iran's nuclear program in return for relief from economic sanctions.

But Trump and others don't like the deal because of what it doesn't do. It doesn't address Iran's ballistic missile program or Iran's support for armed groups in places like Yemen or Syria. And the agreement includes "sunset clauses," which allow some parts of it to eventually expire.
