An Iraq War veteran has raised millions of dollars to fund a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
As of Friday morning, a GoFundMe page set up by Brian Kolfage had collected more than $11 million to put toward the wall, which President Donald Trump has promised to build for years now.
And Kolfage hopes to raise much more. In his GoFundMe description, he quoted a recent New York Post column that said, "If the 63 million people who voted for Trump each pledge $80, we can build the wall."
That adds up to about $5 billion. That may seem like a lot, but the wall could cost much more. According to a report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office, officials didn't take certain factors into account when they estimated the wall project would cost about $18 billion.
