On Jan. 21, 2017, there were 409 planned women's marches across the United States. More than 4 million people marched nationwide.  The 2017 Women's March on Washington was the largest single-day protest in U.S. history. But to understand where women's rights movements are heading, it's important to take a look back at how far they have come.
