The Trump administration's new advisory board that will, in part, help rewrite federal rules on importing wildlife trophies is reportedly packed with trophy hunters.

Let's back up — Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke announced in November the creation of the International Wildlife Conservation Council.

The board was created to promote the benefits of international hunting. At the time, Zinke said the board would "benefit international conservation from boosting economies and creating hundreds of jobs to enhancing wildlife conservation."

Since then, The Associated Press did a review of the 16 board members. AP says most of them are part of Safari Club International — a hunting advocacy group — and the National Rifle Association.

Conservation groups condemned the council's creation and asked that it "at the very least, include members from the conservation community."

AP reports an Interior Department spokesperson said the council has members that represent varying opinions.
