Hold on to your apples: The coveted iPhone 6 could be coming out sooner than anticipated.

The latest version of the iPhone, with a reported 4.7-inch screen, could be unveiled as early as August. That's one month sooner than previously speculated. (Via KDFW)

This is all according to unnamed supply chain sources in Taiwan. The New York Daily News reports Apple has "acquired parts from various Taiwanese suppliers" that make lenses used in mobile phones.

According to International Business Times, the latest edition is equipped with iOS 8, new iTunes, improved Apple Maps, thankfully, and possibly a new app called Healthbook. Healthbook would work with the rumored iWatch to monitor blood sugar levels and heart rate.

The even newer version boasts a bigger screen and an even bigger model — watch out, Samsung — with a 5.5-inch screen. It's rumored to be released one month later. (Via Apple)

But with every potential new iPhone, there's a hefty rumor mill. The release of the iPhone 5 had the media abuzz in 2012. (Via CNET)

Many media outlets have been pointing to Taiwan's Economic Daily News for info.

As usual, the company has decided to let the rumors ferment. Apple has yet to comment.
