The controversial social media platform used by the suspect in a shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue over the weekend is now offline.
Gab.com said in a tweet Monday it took the site down "because we knew the media would take the bait and have stories on it for this morning."
A message on the site said it's transitioning to a new hosting provider and will be down for a period of time.
Gab has faced increased scrutiny since Saturday's shooting, which left 11 people dead and six others wounded.
The suspected shooter had a profile on the platform, and he reportedly used it to post anti-Semitic messages.
Gab says it has a zero-tolerance policy for terrorism and violence. It's unclear when the site will go back online.
