NASA is ready to find a new class of astronauts for its mission back to the moon.
So if you've ever dreamed of spaceflight, now might the time to update your resume. They're looking for U.S. citizens with at least a master's degree in a STEM field — that's science, technology, engineering and math — and two years of professional experience or at least 1,000 hours of pilot-in-command flight experience. That's you, right?
NASA says the next class will be part of the Artemis Generation. That program has a set goal to land the first woman and another man on the moon by 2024.
NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine says applications will begin March 2, adding, "It's an incredible time in human spaceflight to be an astronaut."
