Originally from Columbia, Missouri, Sebastián has spent most of his life, and his career as a journalist, obsessed with the natural world. The bulk of his work has focused on the environment, but he maintains a wide range of interests, including politics, music and technology, among others. When he's not at work he can usually be found gardening, or making music, or trying to get people to care about native plants.
