An Oregon man has been charged with murder, after police say he and three others attempted to steal drugs from another man — but this is no ordinary murder case.

Yes, as KOIN reported there — murder cases run in the Weaver family.
"Investigators say Weaver planned to steal 15 pounds of marijuana last weekend from the victim's car. The victim was shot in the face and later died." (Via KTVL)
Fox News reports 31-year-old Francis Weaver is the stepson of Ward Weaver III. Ward was convicted of aggravated murder in 2004, "two years after the bodies of Ashley Pond and Miranda Gaddis were found in his backyard."
And KPTV reports it doesn't stop with Ward.
"By the way, Ward Weaver's father, Francis Weaver's grandfather, is also a convicted murderer."
The Oregonian reports in 1984, "Ward Francis Weaver Jr. ... was found guilty of murdering an 18-year-old Air Force recruit and his fiancée," after he beat the man to death with a pipe and strangled the woman.
And KGW-TV says 31-year-old Francis has quite the criminal background. He's had "several assault charges in recent years. ... He was charged with a domestic violence assault. He was also arrested in January for possession of heroin."
Francis and his accomplices were arraigned Tuesday in an Oregon City court. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for next week.
