3-D Printing Entire Homes Can Really Help People In Poverty

Imagine being able to build a home for around $50. A 3-D printer is making that possible. 

The world's population is growing, and so is the number of people in poverty who need housing. 

These 3-D printed homes use local materials — like mud and straw  — which makes them better for our environment. Tests on materials are still being done.

The printer can build about 3 feet's worth of walls per day. 

But there are some downsides. For example, the mud needs to be dried in the sun in order to become strong.
