New Year's Eve is notoriously known for expensive entry fees, crowded clubs and of course, heavy drinking. And there ain't no shame in closing out the year that way, but that's not the only way to celebrate.
Here's how you can ring in the new year without that nasty hangover.
1. Attend a sober party.
The trend is becoming more popular, and you're likely to find a sober club in most major cities around the world.
2. Mix up some mocktails!
Do this at home, or ask the bartender for non-alcoholic options. People forgoing liquor can enjoy pretty, sparkly, fancy drinks in nice glasses, too.
3. Host a game night.
Invite friends and family over for some Cards Against Humanity, Catch Phrase or charades. And what better time to play Monopoly when you still have hours until midnight?
4. Have a late-night bake-off.
Have you seen "The Great British Baking Show"? This should be the kind of bake-off everyone aspires to.
5. Host a charitable party.
Instead of asking guests to bring booze, invite them to bring everyday supplies you can donate to a local shelter.
Of course, drinking in moderation is also an option. The most important thing is staying true to yourself and spending time with the people you love.
