The sister of the Pennsylvania woman charged with killing a man she and her husband allegedly met on Craigslist says her sibling lied when she confessed to killing even more people.

"She is lying. She is a master at lying. She takes a lot of truths and puts the lie in the middle so when people talk to her they see all these truths and then they believe the lie.” (Via The Daily Item)

According to police, she and her husband, 22-year-old Elytte Barbour, convinced LaFerrara to meet up with them using an ad on Craigslist that promised him companionship in exchange for money. Investigators say Miranda stabbed LaFerrara about 20 times in the couple's car and Elytte dumped his dead body in an alley afterward.
They both have pleaded not guilty. But from her jail cell, Miranda told a Daily Item reporter otherwise and confessed to 22 more murders in the last six years. She claimed she targeted people who "did bad things and didn't deserve to be here anymore." (Via The Daily Item)
Which sounds oddly similar to Showtime's hit drama "Dexter," a show about a blood-spatter analyst turned serial killer who murders known killers.
Dean says her sister used "Dexter" as inspiration for her shocking confession. "If you listen to what she is saying, she is using descriptions from the show. Miranda is just saying these things." (Via The Daily Item)
Police have yet to find any evidence that Miranda's claims are true. She is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday for a pretrial hearing in the murder of LaFerrara.
