Los Angeles traffic can be infuriating. Billionaire Elon Musk might have a solution — and it's boring.
The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla is now floating the idea of starting a new company to drill lots and lots of traffic tunnels under L.A. Its tentative name: The Boring Company.
Musk announced the idea in a string of tweets back in December. On Wednesday, he said digging would start in a month.
I am actually going to do this

The billionaire inventor is also behind Hyperloop One, a startup with the goal of making bullet trains faster than air travel.
Critics say underground infrastructure is some of the most expensive out there.
But Musk's other ventures have demonstrated his knack for finding ways to cut costs, particularly in the expensive spaceflight industry.
And President Donald Trump has been calling for an investment in U.S. infrastructure while he's in office.
If the president follows through on that goal, it could help Musk build his tunnels.
