George Clooney is supposed to be on his honeymoon with his new wife, Amal Alamuddin.
But he made a surprise stop at Comic Con. He crashed Disney's "Tomorrowland" panel, a film he stars in.
In it, Clooney plays the character Frank Walker, who knows about a place in time and space known as Tomorrowland. The movie's plot has been largely kept secret, so Clooney's appearance? Quite the surprise.
It was his first time ever at the conference, and what happens when Clooney crashes a con? Clooney chaos.
WTTG: "My girlfriend was there, and she was in the crowd, and Hugh Laurie was making fun of like the fact that he was on a doctor show and starts talking about George Clooney and making fun of him, and all of a sudden Clooney shows up."
WDRB: " ... spending part of his honeymoon with a bunch of nerds."
"The crowd went wild when the actor announced he was spending the first few days of married life at the sci-fi convention."
NBC: "He joked while he was there the last time he'd been to Comic Con was when he played Batman, and he apologized for wearing the nipple Batman outfit."
And really, just like the sci-fi flick itself, the fact Clooney made it to the panel seems a little bit sci-fi.
He was married just Sept. 27 and supposed to be doing what newlyweds do: honeymooning.
