Democrats And Republicans Want Russia Probe â Without Jeff Sessions
Several Democrats and at least one Republican are calling for an independent investigation into President Donald Trump's ties to Russia.

An investigation into potential ties between President Trump's campaign and Russia has predictably split the House Intelligence Committee on party lines.
Committee chairman Devin Nunes told reporters, "We still have not seen any evidence of anyone from the Trump campaign, or any other campaign for that matter, that's communicated with the Russian government."
But ranking Democrat Adam Schiff framed the investigation this way: "The committee has reached no conclusion on whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia, Russian officials or any Russian contacts — nor could we," Schiff said.
Schiff pointed out it would be premature to jump to any conclusions since the committee's investigation has barely begun. But Nunes told reporters he didn't want to embroil Congress in a political witch hunt without good cause.
There's been little to no evidence tying Trump's campaign to Russia's interference in the 2016 election. But alleged connections to the Russian government have led to several resignations in Trump's camp.
Schiff also said during his press conference that Nunes agreed to give future investigation updates in a joint, bipartisan manner.
